An Autoclave label is one that can be used in a strong heated container used for chemical reactions and other processes using high pressures and temperatures, e.g. steam sterilization. All of our autoclave labels have been designed to survive numerous different sterilization processes which are ideal for the likes of printed labels used within a hospital environment.
All of our autoclave labels come in various shapes, sizes and designs so we are sure we can supply you with the correct label to suit your application.
They are made from high-temperature-resistant thermoplastic material and can withstand temperatures from -60ºC to +150ºC. Waterproof, weatherproof, and wear and tear proof, they can withstand :
• Autoclave cycles (at 132ºC and 30psi pressure)
• Dry-heat sterilization (up to 150ºC)
• Gamma irradiation (tested up to 50 KGy)
• Boiling water (100 ºC for 5 minutes)
The label as well as the print survive high-temperature exposures.
