Label World was founded by Declan O’Rourke in May 1998 and he continues to head up the company to this day.
Declan studied electronics and Quality Control and is a qualified Quality Auditor. He has 30 years of experience in the Label Industry starting out as a Quality Manager in 1990, promoted to General Manager in 1991 and Director in 1992 before setting up Label World in 1998.
Label World offers a wide variety of products to trade and end-user in a number of industries, such as Food & Drink, Pharmaceutical, Shipping, Cosmetics, IT, Construction, Health & Safety, Dental, Medical and Hygiene. As a forward-thinking company that always strives to totally satisfy its Customers, we continually update our technology in order for us to have the right technology and business solutions to meet your labelling needs.
Since its formation Label World has committed to its Customers by providing a high-quality product, in-turn Label World continues to expand its capabilities and goes from strength to strength as we have constant repeat business and take on new business.
With our own in-house design department, digital printing presses and a range of full UV Flexographic presses we are well-positioned to meet all our Customers label and tag requirements.
We specialise in Flexographic printing (Flexographic Print Award winners 1999) and Digital printing (Digital Print Award winners 2019). Flexographic allows printing up to 330mm wide with a resolution of up to 180 lines per inch with an ability to print up to 15 colours with a UV varnish. While Digital allows for up to 500mm wide and a resolution of 234 lines per inch at real 1200dpi making it one of the most advanced digital label press in Ireland.
No matter what process is used we can finish your labels with any permanent or removable adhesive, UV coating and put on to a roll, sheet or fan-folded.
We have a dedicated art and design team who can design your label from the outset, this service is provided for free with Digital services. (terms and conditions apply)
We stock a huge range of gloss and matt paper, vellums and special substrates such as Day-Glo (Fluorescent), clear film and thermosensitive material. Most requirements would be for a permanent adhesive, however, we can also apply an extra permanent adhesive for more difficult surfaces, a removable adhesive to use for labels that will need to be peeled off without causing damage to a surface, frost-fix, deep freeze and wet process for labels that will be used in fridges and freezers and will then not peel off.
Our workforce has expanded to a current total of 24 staff with over half having over 10 years of service with the company.

Purchased a Hewlett-Packard Indigo Digital Printing Press enabling Label World to become one of the first label companies in Ireland to go digital.

One new press arrived in Q3 for our Digital Dept and one new machine arrived in Q4 for our Final Inspection Dept. Achieved AA (Highest) rating for the BRC Global Standard. Achieved the highest rating for the ISO9001 global standard. Best Sales year ever with 25% growth (year-end April). Won Digital Label Printer of the Year again at the IPA in May 2022. |

Celebrating 25 Years in Business. An exciting year ahead with Phase 2 of our Renewable Energy Project, our first electric car arrived in March. Achieved AA (Highest) rating for the BRC Global Standard. Achieved the highest rating for the ISO9001 global standard. Won the Silver Award for Digital Label Printer of the Year and Bronze Award for the Flexographic Label Printer at the Irish Print Awards in May 2023.
